Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Flights Board ("Flights Board", "we", "us") is operated as a sole trader based in Western Australia, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use flights-board.com, why we collect it, and who we share it with.

Flights Board is an unofficial arrivals board for rideshare and taxi drivers. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Perth Airport or any airline. Always confirm times on the official Perth Airport flight board.

As a small sole-trader business we may not be required to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 in every case. We publish this policy as a clear commitment about how we handle your information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Email address — required to create an account and sign in. We sign you in with a one-time code emailed to you; we do not store passwords.
  • Name — required to complete your profile.
  • Phone number — optional, provided during profile setup or in Settings.
  • Board preferences — your default airport, domestic/international preference, terminal view, and the time windows you like to see.

Information collected automatically

  • Session records — when you sign in we store a session token, its expiry, and the IP address and browser user agent used for that session. This lets us keep you signed in and detect account misuse.
  • Sign-in codes — one-time codes and their expiry, deleted after use or expiry.
  • Rate-limiting records — short-lived counters keyed to a request source, so a single user cannot flood our sign-in or API endpoints.

Billing information

We store your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, subscription status, trial end date, and when access ends. We never see or store your card details — payments are handled entirely by Stripe.

What we do not collect

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party marketing pixels. We do not collect your location, your driving activity, or data from Uber, DiDi, or any other rideshare platform. We do not sell personal information.

2. Flight data

Flight information shown on the board is scraped from publicly available airport flight information. It relates to flights, not to passengers, and contains no personal information about you or any traveller.

3. Why we use your information

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in
  • To show you the board with your saved preferences
  • To run your free trial and, if you subscribe, your subscription
  • To send transactional email (sign-in codes, and billing or service notices)
  • To prevent abuse, fraud, and excessive automated use
  • To comply with our legal and tax obligations

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers ("processors") who handle data on our behalf:

ProviderPurposeData involved
StripePayments and subscription managementEmail, name, billing identifiers
ResendSending transactional emailEmail address, message content
NeonDatabase hostingAll stored account data
Hosting providerApplication hostingData in transit and logs
CloudflareDNS and network protectionIP address, request metadata

Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information consistently with this policy.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business (in which case we will tell you first).

5. Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. It is not used for advertising or tracking. Blocking it will prevent you from signing in.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account data — while your account exists, and for a reasonable period afterwards where we need it for tax, accounting, or dispute purposes.
  • Sessions and sign-in codes — until they expire or you sign out.
  • Billing records — as long as required by Australian tax law (generally seven years).

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed session tokens, rate limiting on sign-in, and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. If a serious breach affects your personal information, we will notify you where we are required or it is appropriate to do so.

8. Your rights

You can view and update your name, phone number, and board preferences at any time in Settings. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the Stripe billing portal from Settings.

To request a copy of your personal information, correct it, or delete your account and associated data, email us at support@flights-board.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.

9. Children

Flights Board is intended for licensed rideshare and taxi drivers and is not directed at anyone under 18.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. If we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app.
